New Town, New Studio
We arrived in San Francisco almost two months ago, but our furniture is still making its way across the Atlantic. And so we sleep on air mattresses, use a cardboard box as a dining table and make due with two forks.
But that's not going to stop me from getting my new studio in shape.
I've been missing studio storage for a very long time now, opting to stack my drawings and illustrations in the corner exposed to sunlight and collecting dust. But an extensive and weirdly competitive Craigslist search led me to a beautiful 10 drawer flat file. A beautiful large 10 drawer flat file.
After trying to get the file into the apartment through two separate entrances, it became clear we had to break the beast into pieces to even get it in the building.
Two hours and an untold number of bruises later, my beautiful beast was nestled in my new studio. Officially our first new piece of furniture, and the latest step towards the studio of my type A dreams.
